Fire Proofing
Passive fire protection for structure, supports and vessel skirts
Project Execution
Fire Proofing
Vrishal Engineering Pvt. Ltd. applies passive fire protection to structural steel, pipe racks, equipment supports, vessel skirts and critical valve and cable areas in process plants.
Scope covers cementitious fireproofing, intumescent coating, mesh and anchor fixing, and thickness verification, applied to the specified fire rating and protected with a topcoat where the exposure requires it.

Bought Time Is the Whole Purpose
Fireproofing does not prevent a fire. It delays the point at which loaded structural steel reaches the temperature where it loses strength and the structure above it comes down.
That delay is what allows depressurisation, isolation, emergency response and evacuation to happen. The specified rating is a time requirement, and the applied thickness is what delivers it.
Passive Fire Protection
Thickness and Bond Decide Performance
Under-thickness in one area reduces the protection of the whole member, and poor bonding means the material can fall away in exactly the conditions it was installed for.
Anchor and mesh fixing, surface preparation, application thickness and curing are checked as the work proceeds, area by area.
Damage caused by later trades is repaired before handover, because fireproofing is easy to break during erection and easy to overlook at closure.
